MapleStory: Fight for Freedom! Pt1 (NOT based on the game)
Savior of Maple
Ok….Not much of a title, but I assure you, the story will seem better! This takes place 14 years after Worlds Collide. This story might also lead to YAOI/SLASH (M/M), and it might not…I’ll decide in the next chapter…. Also, there are no monsters whatsoever, only evil gangsters that are out to take over the world. The characters in the story do not, and I repeat, DO NOT have anything to do with the game ‘MapleStory’, so they can look however they like!

Let the story begin!

Introduction…
It has been 5 years since the hero of Maple disappeared…Now; a new threat has arisen as gangs are reported to beat up Maplers. It has been rumored that the gangs are controlled by an unknown person called ‘Master’….a group called ‘Freedom Fighters’, led by Raddo, a level 125 priest, goes around protecting innocent citizens from this new threat…

In the forest of Ellina, Slash, b4nSinzz and I were fighting against a gang of magicians. It was an unfair match as they had four against three. “Dammit! I’m out of health potions!” Slash cried out as we stood back-to-back. I raised my ‘Wizard Wand’ to issue an attack, but nothing came out! “Well, guess what? I’m out of mana!” b4nSinzz grimaced as the magicians came closer. “Looks like this is it….It was nice knowing you guys…”

“FFSSHHHHH!!!” Suddenly, one of the magicians howled in pain. Another ‘Fire Arrow’ was shot. This time, every magician went running for their lives. I looked up to see littleHiff jumping out of a tree. “Whew…thanks littleHiff…” littleHiff smirked and tossed us a sack. “Heard your cries…spilt them and use them wisely…” Slash grinned. “Thanks!”

I must have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is xXxReiKonxXx, or you can call me ReiKon, or Rei. I’m a level 35 cleric. My friends are Slash, a level 33 fighter and b4nSinzz, a level 33 assassin. The one that just rescued us is littleHiff, a level 45 Fire/Poison Magician. She is our leader and also the daughter of Raddo, the leader of ‘Freedom Fighters’.

Slash and b4nSinzz are siblings. Together with me and littleHiff, we’re the best in ‘Freedom Fighters’! Well, at least other then the elders, Slasherxx52, b4ndiitz (they are Slash and b4nSinzz’s parents), hifotrau7r and Raddo (They are littleHiff’s parents). You should know who guys are and who girls are by now, anyway…

We headed back to the headquarters and told the elders in the meeting room of our success. As usual, I watched as they get hugged by their respective parents. Not that I’m jealous…Raddo found me when I was attacked by a gang of rogues in Kerning City. As my parents had died, he took me in and I am eternally grateful for that. Quietly, I left the room to let them have their privacy and scampered up to the rooftops to have some time of my own.

As I opened the door to the rooftops, a voice called me from behind. I turned to see HolyPhoenixX, a level 72 priest. “Hi Holy…” (Let’s call her Holy, huh?) She grinned and walked out of the door onto the roof. “Always acting like a gentleman, huh? Thanks for holding the door.” I rolled my eyes and went out to the roof.

As I sat down to enjoy the cool breeze, Holy sat next to me. Since she was a good friend, I didn’t really mind. I closed my eyes and leant back against the hard, metal roof cover. “A penny for your thoughts.”

I opened one eye to look at Holy. She smiled. “Your thoughts….a penny for them.” I let out a short chuckle and closed my eyes again. “Why would you want my thoughts?” Suddenly, a voice answered right next to my ear, giving me a shock of my life. “I don’t need to be a mind-reader to see that you’re upset.” I opened both of my eyes only to see Holy looking down right at me. I struggled to get up, only to find out that she was sitting on me. I growled lowly. “Holy….” She patted my hair fondly, a sickeningly sweet smile on her face. “Now be a good boy and tell me what your problem is…”

I sighed in defeat. “Fine….I’ll tell you…” She got off me and looked at me expectantly. “You’d actually know how I feel if you’re in a group whose parents are the great Raddo and hifotrau7r, or their advisors Slasherxx52 and b4ndiitz…” She cocked her head to one side, amusement clearly written on her face. “So…you’re jealous?” I shook my head sadly. “No….I just would like to have my parents …”

I looked down in embarrassment. Holy seemed more amused then ever. “The great ReiKon is embarrassed! I thought I’ll never see the day!” I muttered something darkly under my breath. “Look, this is not helping…” I rose from my seat, my playful mask fully in place. “I will not waste your time…or mine.” I turned to leave, only to see Holy right in front of the door.

Holy chortled. “I never said you were wasting my time…” She looked at me and I could see sadness lingering in her eyes. “And I never knew you cared about your family tree so much…” I shrugged. ‘What would she know!’ Slowly, she moved away from the door. Hurt was evident in her eyes, but I chose to ignore it. Opening the door, I stopped for awhile to look at Holy. “If you knew me better then other people, you would have known a long time ago…” I stepped in and shut the door behind me.

As I walked towards my room, thoughts ran through my head like Bubblings having sugar-rush. I sighed and ran my hand through my freakin’ long hair as my other hand fumbled around in my pocket for the card-key for my room. As I approached the room, I noticed littleHiff leaning against the door. She looked up from the floor to me. I raised an eyebrow. littleHiff got up from her position, a slight smile on her face. “We’ve a new mission.”

In the meeting room, b4ndiitz briefed us on our mission. Apparently, a citizen had tipped us that one of the ‘Master’s advisor was hiding in the treetops north of Ellina. We were supposed to hunt him down and bring him back. b4ndiitz ended the briefing abruptly. “hifotrau7r and I will join you on this mission. Any questions?” We shook our heads in unison. “Alright!” Slasherxx52 grinned. “Freedom Fighters! GO!”

As we trekked through the forest, searching for the advisor, I noticed a few shadows that seemingly looked like shadows of people. Doubt seemed to arise within me. hifotrau7r suddenly stopped. “Everyone start climbing! The advisor’s at the top!” I smirked. Climbing trees were my specialty. I teleported up one branch and jumped to the next. Below, I could hear Slash cheering me on. I noticed littleHiff on the next tree. She seemed to be impressed and sped up. I grinned and sped up too. If it’s a race she wants, it’s a race she gets!

Finally, I got to the top, followed by littleHiff. She shrugged in defeat. Suddenly, I heard a noise and turned around. I heard a snicker and the next thing I knew, I was in mid-air. ‘Shit!’ As I went plummeting down, Slash caught me by my collar and hauled me safely to the trunk of the tree. I nodded at him as a saying of thanks and made my way back up.

Up on the treetops, I found littleHiff battling a gang of assassins, bandits and warriors. I issued an attack on them, hoping to get some away from littleHiff. Indeed, some went after me. hifotrau7r shot some arrows at the people surrounding her daughter, only to have some kind of invisible force repel them. “What the!?” b4ndiitz ran near the pile of people, only to be thrown back. b4nSinzz ran after her mother while Slash helped littleHiff. I managed to fight back my opponents, but Slash and littleHiff were having a hard time. Suddenly, from out of nowhere, an ice beam came in my way. Luckily, I had dodged in time and I looked around for the attacker. I turned, and suddenly heard a voice behind. “Goodbye kid…”

Suddenly, another person came out from nowhere and slammed into the attacker behind me. My savior turned to look at me. “You okay, kid?” I nodded, staring at his face. Two blue triangles on both his cheeks…how odd… Suddenly, he turned and flashed an ‘Ice Beam’ at the attacker. As the attacker stood frozen, he turned to look at me again. “Sorry for nearly hitting you…I was trying to warn you to get out of the way….” I nodded slowly, once again gawking at his odd features. Silver-grey hair at the front and black hair at the back….Even odder…He raised an eyebrow at me. “You can stop looking at me like that….I know I look odd.”

I snapped out of my thoughts. Suddenly, I noticed the attacker lunging at the odd magician. “Watch out!” I pushed him out of the way and striked the attacker. hifotrau7r caught the attacker and tied him up. She looked up to flash a thumbs-up at me when she caught sight of the odd magician. Her eyes narrowed for a second, but she turned when she heard a scream.

I whizzed around to see littleHiff and Slash surrounded by a whole group of warriors and bandits. Suddenly, the odd magician did an ice attack and in a flash, all the attackers were frozen to the ground.

I turned to the odd magician. “Thanks…you saved me and my friends’ lives.” He shrugged. “No problem…” He turned to hifotrau7r. “The guy you got is the ‘Master’s advisor.” hifotrau7r nodded. I turned to see b4ndiitz coming forward with b4nSinzz. “Thanks for helping, stranger….” b4ndiitz’s eyes widened abit. “…Cerveau?”

The odd magician turned to look at b4ndiitz, a smirk on his face. “Took you so long to figure?” b4ndiitz’s eyes grew even wider. “It’s not possible…You were reported as dead!” The odd magician frowned and grabbed b4ndiitz’s hand, putting it on his cheek. “I’m R-E-A-L…I didn’t abandon this world…” hifotrau7r tapped him on the shoulder. “If you’re really the savior of Maple and our friend, then you should know the answer to this question: Who are Megaman Zero and Ciel?” (Read ‘Worlds Collide.) The odd magician smirked. “Zero and Ciel were two lovers from another realm. I, Slasher, b4ndiitz and you got them together. If you’re going to ask me how they got back to their realm; I don’t really know, because I wasn’t there, but you guys told me that a hurricane was their ticket back.”

hifotrau7r’s eyes grew big like b4ndiitz’s. b4ndiitz, who by now had tears forming, hugged the odd magician from behind. “It IS you!” Suddenly, it struck me: the savior of Maple who had disappeared from the face of the earth 5 years ago was called CeRveAU2332, otherwise known as Cerveau!

Slash nudged me, as if wanting an explanation for this. I hastily explained and when I was finished, his eyes were as wide as saucers. hifotrau7r’s eyes were brimming with tears. “Come on, gang, we need to get back to headquarters to celebrate the good news!”

Back at the headquarters, I watched with amusement as Cerveau was nearly crushed by Slasherxx52, smothered with hugs from b4ndiitz and hifotrau7r and given a half-lecture, half-welcome from Raddo.

“Dude! You’ve seriously changed!” What Slasherxx52 said was true: b4ndiitz had shown us a picture of them in the past (as in Slasherxx52, b4ndiitz, hifotrau7r, Raddo and CeRveAu2332). Cerveau had a dark complexion along with blue hair at that time, but now, he had a rather pale complexion along with his oddly-colored hair. Also, he didn’t have those blue triangles on his cheeks in the past…

littleHiff and the rest of us watch quietly as the elders talked about their past. Knowing that I had nothing to do with it, I slipped out and headed for the rooftops.

Ah…the rooftops. The only place where I can get away from the hustle and bustle of the headquarters. I breathed in deeply before exhaling, enjoying the fact that there was no one there. Suddenly, I heard the door whiz open. Growling lowly, I turned to see who it was. Boy, was I surprised to see Cerveau standing there! He looked at me, a slight smile on his face. “May I join you?” I nodded before shutting my eyes, not caring whether a world-famous hero was right beside me or not.

Somehow, Cerveau seemed to understand what was going on in my head and kept quiet. Curiosity overcame me and I opened both my eyes to look at him. Come to think of it, he wasn’t wearing ordinary magicians’ clothes, he was wearing clothes from the Cash Shop and he wasn’t carrying a staff or wand. He sensed that I was looking at him and looked down at me. Noticing that I was staring at his empty hands, he chuckled. “Once you reach the stage I’ve achieved, you can attack without a use of a weapon.” I nodded and closed my eyes again. Suddenly, the door slammed open, revealing a person I REALLY didn’t want to see at that time…..

“REIKON!” I grimaced at the way Holy shouted my name. Cerveau seemed amused when she called my name. “Your name is ReiKon?” I nodded my head before returning a glare at Holy. She noticed Cerveau and stopped in her tracks. “Oh…Hello Mr. Cerveau….I didn’t see you…” I looked up at Cerveau, expecting him to reply. However, he seemed to have zoned out. I waved my hand in front of his face. Suddenly, he snapped out of his thoughts and grabbed my hand in mid-air, staring coldly at me. “Do not do that next time, y’ hear?” Shocked at hearing such a stern voice coming from what seemed to be a gentle man, I nodded. Suddenly, his glare softened. “I-I’m sorry…” He looked at Holy, then back at me. “I’ll leave you two now…” He made a dash for the door and disappeared down the steps.

Holy looked at the retreating figure which was the world hero. “Seems jittery, isn’t he?” I nodded my head. She turned to look at me. “Raddo wants you to remember that there’s a party tonight. Dress casually!” I put on a F3 face. “Ok….”

At night, I stepped into the grand hall in my ‘best’. Instead of my mage clothes, I had worn some clothes bought from the Cash Shop. I grabbed a drink and watched from the side the people who were talking. Suddenly, I noticed Cerveau coming up to me. He had once again, changed from his previous clothes to a ‘Green Tie Casual Top’ and a pair of ‘Loose Cargo Jeans’. He looked like a gangster because of his hair too. “Hey…Not gonna join in?” I shook my head. He nodded his head slightly. “Ah…So you’re a loner like me…”

I stared at him coldly. “You’re a loner? I can hardly imagine….” He seemed unruffled by the glare I was giving him. “Yes, I am a loner…And if you still want to see with those eyes, I suggest you stop glaring.” I looked up at him. He had a demure smile, but his eyes suggested otherwise. I smirked. “What…Are you threatening me?” Somehow, a dangerous glint flashed across his eyes, sending chills down my spine.

Miraculously, I kept a calm face and leant back against the wall. “Well?” He smiled again and leant in closer until I could feel his breath on my face. Ok… this was getting freaky. “If I wanted to….I could rip those eyes out without moving my hand.” His breath grew harsh and sharp. Suddenly, he drew back, a calm look over his face. “Get what I mean?”

Before I could reply, someone tapped Cerveau’s shoulder from behind. He turned around to see Slasher, b4nSinzz and littleHiff. “Our parents want to talk to you.” Cerveau nodded and went off. Slash turned to me. “You ok, dude? You look like you just saw a ghost…”

b4nSinzz shook me gently. “ReiKon…are you alright?” I swallowed my nervousness and replied, “Yeah…I’m fine.” b4nSinzz smiled slightly before turning slightly to look at Cerveau. “What was Cerveau talking to you about and why did he go so near?” I shrugged. littleHiff looked around then signaled us to come closer to her. I suspected she had something up. “I sneaked through my mother’s journal just now….She has suspicions that Cerveau is gay…” b4nSinzz’s eyes widened. “What!? How’s that possible?” littleHiff shrugged and turned to me. “He seems to have taken a liking to you…Watch out, Rei…”

WOAH! Hold on a sec! Did littleHiff, a girl who is as emotionless as a rock, just called me out of affection!? I looked at her, blinking dumbly. I had a feeling the others were also doing the same. Finally, Slash spoke up. “D-did you just called ReiKon Rei??” littleHiff blushed slightly. b4nSinzz gasped. “You’re blushing!” littleHiff looked down in embarrassment. I thought and acted fast.

“Ahem…I think it’s because she looks at me as a little brother, that’s why she cares for me…” Slash sniggered. “Yeah…but when were you born, ReiKon?” My eyebrow rose. “23rd of June 1995….Why?” b4nSinzz giggled. “Silly! You’re older then littleHiff! She’s born on the 2nd of December 1995!” I looked at littleHiff, hoping that they were wrong. Clearly they weren’t speaking gibberish, as littleHiff’s face was downright red like a ripe tomato.

Slash grinned goofily and started singing, “Hiff and Rei sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-OW!” I smirked and withdrew my hand. Slash rubbed his arm. “What was that for!?” I grinned. “That’s for singing so horribly!” Slash scoffed. “Yeah…as if you can sing better…” I leant back against the wall. “At least better then you…” That seemed to spark something off in him and the next thing I knew, he had dragged me over to the karaoke side of the hall. He stared icily at me and pointed at the TV, then at the microphones. I grinned. He was suggesting a match. “Loser buys the others Ice-Cream.” I shook hands with him. “Deal!”

(Ok….for once in this story, I shall switch from ReiKon to Cerveau!)

As I was talking to Slasher and b4ndiitz about my adventures, I suddenly heard a few people cheering from the other side. Slasher seemed to notice it and looked over. “Ah…Slash is having a contest with Rei…” Ah…that Rei kid…I looked at Slasher. “Want to go see how your son is faring?” He nodded his head and together with b4ndiitz, we went over to the karaoke side of the hall.

When we arrived, a fascinating sight greeted us. Apparently, Slash had challenged ReiKon to a karaoke contest and I must say, both aren’t doing well…I heard b4nSinzz giggle and announce that neither of them won as both equally stink. I chuckled lightly as I saw Slasher’s eyes widen in slight anger. Unfortunately, Slasher caught that chuckle and thought I was mocking his son. “Well, Cerveau? Do you think you can do better?” I smirked. “Better then you, ‘best friend’” Slasher chortled. “Alright…” He snapped his fingers and the microphones were handed over to him. “I challenge the world-famous hero CeRveAU2332 to a karaoke match!” Everyone turned to look at me, expecting my answer. I smirked. “I accept!”

As soon as I heard Slasher sing, I knew I could easily beat him. His tune was off-key and I daresay, he was mispronouncing the words too! By the time he was done, many people had crowded around to see what the commotion was. I smiled calmly when it was my turn. I picked up the microphone as the song began. Somehow, I found my eyes fixed on ReiKon the whole time…..You know, after that little (ok, so it was big, sue me) infatuation with b4ndiitz, I’ve figured out that sometimes, I look at guys the same way….. I’ll admit it, I’m bisexual, but I can’t believe I’m falling for a damn rookie…..Anyway, the lyrics came on and I began to sing….

Hn...I think I did well. If not, people wouldn’t be gawking at me right now. Slasher’s jaw is wide open, Slash’s appearance is the same and the rest is just quiet. ReiKon was the first to recover from his shock. “Well….I think it’s clear who won, isn’t it?” The rest just nodded their head, still too shocked to answer. ReiKon pointed to me. “And…..The world-famous hero CeRveAU2332 wins by favour.” I smirked and put down the microphone. “Well Slasher? Admit defeat?” Slasher looked at me with mock hurt. “Please…*sniff* don’t rub it in any further….” He started laughing and walked off. I shook my head and ran my hand through my hair. ‘Same old chap…’ Raddo signalled me over to join him. Reluctantly, I walked over to the ‘head’.

He led me over to his office, which was conveniently located next to the grand hall. He quickly ushered me in and closed the door behind him. Feeling something was amiss, I raised an eyebrow questioningly. He smirked slightly. “Out with it, Cerveau….I saw the way you looked at him…” My eyes slightly widened. “Him….Him who?” Raddo growled. “Rei, you dolt!” I played along, hoping he wouldn’t see through. “Ah…that kid…his name was Rei?” Raddo scowled. “Don’t play games, Cerveau. Hiff has had suspicions that you were gay…”

I growled lowly. “Hiff is only half right….I’m a bi…” Raddo smirked. “Well…that confirms everything…” I folded my arms in front of my chest. “So what? You want me to leave? I can leave if you want me to….”

Raddo shook his head, amusement written all over his face. “No…I don’t need you to leave.” Suddenly, he grabbed me by my collar and pinned me against the wall. “But don’t try anything funny on him…My daughter likes him, and I will see to it that he likes her back, and I do not want you to come in between.”

I smirked. “Who said I wanted to?” I pushed him away and landed on my feet. “I won’t get between your wishes….Rei isn’t like me...” I said every word strongly except for that last part. Luckily, Raddo didn’t catch it and instead, nodded. “Good…I won’t reveal your secret.” He sauntered out of the room quickly. Somewhere inside me was breaking….Is this how denial feels like?

I went out of the room, only to see Rei and his little gang sneaking a look just around the corner. Choosing to ignore them, I walked somewhat calmly towards the exit of the hall. As the door whizzed open letting me out, I side-stepped out into the deserted corridor. Raddo had given me the key to my room. As tears threatened to spill, I decided to head for the roof instead of my room.

(Right…switching back to ReiKon)

I watched as Cerveau stepped out of Raddo’s office and out of the hall. littleHiff’s eyes glinted dangerously. “I wonder what Father was talking to Cerveau about….” Slash grinned madly. “Did you see the way Raddo pinned him against the wall? I think Cerveau’s defenceless in close-combat!” I shrugged. “Yeah…it was awesome, but I think it was serious talk….I mean, did you see how they were looking at each other? It was like they were enemies or something…”

littleHiff pondered over what I said. “Maybe…but I think it was upsetting too…Did you see the look on Cerveau’s face when he came out? He was troubled.” b4nSinzz looked at her. “So…you think we should see how they’re doing?” littleHiff nodded her head. “I’ll see how my father’s doing…” Suddenly, Slash and b4nSinzz’s hand rose up. “We’ll join you!” littleHiff stared coldly at them. “No you won’t…one of you has to accompany Rei…”

I looked at littleHiff. “littleHiff…it’s ok…I can go alone…” She seemed reluctant, but finally nodded her head. I flashed a thumbs-up at her before leaving. Want to know why I wasn’t afraid of facing a man who’s rumoured to be gay? ‘Cause I’m gay too! I know this isn’t something to be proud of, but I can’t help it…NO one knows about it, thankfully…But I have a hunch Holy knows….

Anyway, I walked out of the hall and walked down the corridor to Cerveau’s room. I had seen Raddo show this room to Cerveau, so I assume that it is his room. Finally, I reached the room. Somehow, my bravado faded away and I gingerly knocked on the door. “Cerveau? You there?” No response was heard. I tapped on the keyboard next to the room. littleHiff had taught us how to hack into the security system and I thank her for that, for I noticed that nobody was in the room. ‘Well…looks like I have to do some exploring…’

As I walked through the headquarters, my mind was filled with countless thoughts about the talk Cerveau had with Raddo. Raddo seemed smug when he came out, whereas Cerveau seemed upset…I wonder if it was a dispute or something…Suddenly, I had an idea to where he is. Stopping abruptly in my tracks, I turned and ran for the rooftops.

When I reached the door to the rooftops, I noticed that a card had been left in the slot. I took the card out and slotted mine. Immediately, the door whizzed open and I went out. A blast of cold air hit me. I had never been out of the headquarters at night, so I never knew that it could be so cold. Like an immediate instinct, I shivered in the cold. Somehow, the coldness also managed to affect my eyesight, so in the end, I couldn’t see properly.

Suddenly, something was clasped down onto my back. As I felt it, I realised it was a jacket and pulled it around, silently thanking whoever gave it to me. “Feeling better now?” I froze when I heard that voice. ‘Cerveau!’ I turned around to see him looking amusedly at me. “If you can’t handle the coldness, you should go back in.” I raised an eyebrow. “What about you?” Cerveau shrugged. “I can handle it…” I growled lowly. “Well then, if you can handle it, then so can I!” Cerveau rolled his eyes. “If you could handle it, then why are you still shivering?” I huffed impatiently, but didn’t say anything. The cold was really getting to me…Curse the autumn wind! Cerveau raised an eyebrow. “Cat got your tongue?” I growled again, this time shoving my hands into my pockets.

In my pockets, I felt around for the card which I had found on the slot. Taking it out, I grinned smugly. “Looks like the world hero is forgetful, huh?” Cerveau smirked and took the card, our fingers brushing lightly against each other. For no reason whatsoever, I blushed lightly. Cerveau stuffed the card into his pocket, muttering something which I couldn’t hear. Suddenly, I noticed dried streaks on his face. Also, his eyes were a little red. “H-have you been crying?”

(Changing to Cerveau once again!)

I was stunned when ReiKon said that. Was it that obvious? I had tried rubbing the tear streaks out….looks like it didn’t work. Anyway, I shrugged and replied, “No….” Suddenly, I noticed some kind of black tail trailing behind ReiKon. Using my magic, I froze it in mid-air and silently commanded it to float over to me. As ReiKon noticed it floating, he gasped and took it, staring defiantly at me. “That’s my pony-tail, if you please!” I raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “I didn’t noticed that your hair was so long…why don’t you cut it?” He shook his head. “Before my parents died, they told me it was a custom in our….family that we were not supposed to cut our hair.”

I frowned. This was no family tradition…In my years of travelling around the Maple World; I had acquired knowledge about it. I had heard about a tribe which forbid their people to cut their hair. Then again, just not to embarrass the kid further, I nodded my head. He smiled back and tossed his ‘ponytail’ behind his back. “But if you ask me, I think it’s just rubbish…” I smiled lightly. I was starting to like this kid…..

He looked around. “Hey….can I ask you a question?” I frowned. I never liked questions which began like this. “Yeah, sure…” ReiKon seemingly brightened up, but moved away to lean against the roof tiling. “What would you say if you had a friend that is gay?” I shrugged and moved to face him. “I would say ‘Welcome to the Brotherhood’. There’s nothing to be ashamed of, anyway…” He looked bewilderedly at me. “You mean….you’re gay!?” I grinned slightly, and leant closer to him. “Nope…I’m only bi…” His eyes seemed to show disappointment for a second, but it passed and he had a small smile on his face. “So are you going to say that to me?”

I snapped back to my usual standing position. ‘Say what?’ I looked questioningly at him. He let out a small laugh before saying, “I’m gay….” I smiled at him, slightly confused. “Gay as in….merry and ‘gay’, right?” He shook his head. “No… ‘gay’ as in…..you know…” I was stunned, but I kept a straight face. “Ah…” I looked at him, smirking. “I won’t say that sentence…I’d rather say…” I leant closer to him, staring right into his eyes. Haha…he was afraid of me. My smirk grew bigger and I whispered into his ear, “I’d say…. 私は愛する Rei…” I drew back to take a good look at his face. Clearly, he was confused. “W-wha?” I smiled. “In time, you’ll understand what I said…” I walked towards the door, waving behind at him. “Goodnight, ReiKon…give me back the jacket tomorrow…”

(Changing back to ReiKon!!!)

I stared confusedly at the retreating figure of Cerveau. What had he said? It made no sense in my brain, so I presumed it wasn’t English….It had to be some other language…Suddenly, I remembered what I had came here for and decided to return to the hall to look for littleHiff and the others. Then, another thought popped into my brain. What would they say if they saw me with Cerveau’s jacket? I was walking down the steps at that time, and missed a step. “Argh!” Suddenly, a pair of arms caught me as I nearly went flying down the steps. “Woah! You ok, buddy? You sure are light!”

I recognized the voice as Slash’s. “Thanks Slash…” b4nSinzz looked at me worriedly. “Are you ok, ReiKon? You nearly went flying down the steps had it not been for Slash…” I stood up and brushed imaginary dirt from my pants. “Yeah…I’m fine…” I looked around. “Where’s littleHiff?” Slash frowned. “Her? She’s still with her dad, so we came to look for you!” I nodded my head slightly and smiled. “Well, thanks for your concern…” b4nSinzz nudged me. “So… How did it go, then?” My mind went blank. What was I supposed to tell them??

“Erm…Well, Cerveau did seem upset…” Slash scowled. “That’s all? You spent half an hour just to figure that out?” b4nSinzz looked at me. “You’re not telling the truth, aren’t you?” She must have caught sight of Cerveau’s jacket for she then gasped. “What are you doing with Cerveau’s jacket?” I shrugged. “It was cold outside…and he saw me shivering and….placed it on me…” b4nSinzz gasped again. “And you accepted it?” I nodded my head.

Slash didn’t quite catch what b4nSinzz was implying. “So what if he accepted it?” b4nSinzz looked at me, her eyes full of suspicion. “You…don’t like him, right?” With that tone, I knew where she was trying to lead me. Desperate to get out of this situation, I tried to lie my way out. “Look guys, I a bit tired…I’ll talk to you tomorrow…” Without waiting for a reply, I walked away from them….Tugging slightly at Cerveau’s jacket, I wondered over this thought: What if I was falling for him? And what did he say?
