Betrayal
Ok…basically, I had writer’s block...and my MS Word wasn’t working right, so this chapter’s going to be kind of boring….but there’s still the fight of Cerveau/Kaizer and Talax versus ‘Master’!

(Start with Cerveau/Kaizer’s P.O.V)
Great…I was sleep-deprived for a whole night…Somehow, I had a weird feeling that someone had been watching me and Talax that night…Anyway; I whacked Talax on the head to get him up. Immediately, he got up and went into battle-stance, eyes half-closed.
“Hiya! Take that, you dumb intruder!” He swung his hand at me and I casually stepped to the side. Unfortunately for him, a metal bed-post now stood in his path and his hand made a painful meeting with it. Next thing I knew, my eardrums were on the verge of bursting and Talax was screaming his voice hoarse. I created a magical barrier that confined his scream in his area. “You done auditioning for the opera house yet?”
Talax looked at me angrily, trying to soothe his hand at the same time. I smirked. “Well, at least you’re awake…” Talax muttered something in some foreign language before standing up and shooting a death-glare at me. I countered it with my amused smirk. He dug his free hand into his pocket before producing a small tin of…..green stuff. Sensing my confused and disgusted look, Talax chortled before applying some on his hand. “It helps to quicken the recovery of the internal bleeding. As a chief bandit, I think I’ll need my hand to fight, don’t cha’ think?” I rolled my eyes. “Whatever….we need to meet Raddo in 10 minutes, so hurry up.” Talax mock saluted. “Aye aye, Captain Kaizer!”
I raised an eyebrow. “Kaizer?” Talax snorted. “Yeah…as in….the name you went through when you were out rescuing people?” I scratched my head. “Truth be told….I don’t remember much about my life before the ‘Master’ captured me….All I remember is promising myself that I’d get out.” Talax raised an eyebrow. “Oh….” He replaced the small tin and walked towards me. “Well? The pig’s waiting, remember?”
In the meeting room, I averted my gaze from the others, especially Raddo’s. Slasher came up to me with a confused look. “Dude…your hair’s a mess! What, you didn’t sleep well?” I shook my head, trying my hardest to smile. “Nah....I just didn’t sleep…” Glancing at Raddo’s smirk and Hifo and b4ndiitz’s disgusted looks, I added, “Of course, I’d like to ask how you can sleep well if you are sleeping on the chair?” For a weird reason, Raddo’s smirk didn’t disappear. I had a funny feeling that something wasn’t right…
Slasher seemed alright with my explanation. “Ok Cerv, but one reminder…” He ruffled my hair playfully. “Try not to look like a lion!” We both shared a short laugh before an irritating person interrupted with a cough. We turned towards Raddo, who seemed pleased at catching our attention. “Well, now that the pleasant stuff is over, let’s get on with business…”
The projector cranked up and it started displaying pictures of the ‘Master’s headquarters. “Since the ‘Master’ is currently within our capturing-range, we should strike him as fast as possible. Now that Talax is with us, he can lead us through the building. After our last mission, I have considered that Cerveau should be our bait, so he is unfit to lead the operation. Instead, Slasher and b4ndiitz will lead…Is that clear Cerveau?”
Hmm…what would be fitting? Raddo dying because of frostbite, or lighting? Oh…did he just call me? I looked at Talax, who was giving me look no.215, where I’m made to be bait for something and at the same time, supposed to be humiliated. Raddo asked again. “Is that clear, Kai-Cerveau?” Upon hearing what was supposed to be my name, doubts began to surface in my head, but I manage to reply, “Yes.” I shifted my gaze to Talax, who was looking at Raddo with his death-glare. “Erm, listen…Talax and I left something back in the room, so we are just going to retrieve it…” I pulled Talax out of the room and we began a little walk throughout the ‘Freedom Fighters’ headquarters.
“Did you hear what he nearly called you?” I nodded slightly. “How the heck does he know?” Talax shrugged. “Maybe he was doing some research about you…Or maybe…” The same thought appeared in both our heads. We stopped abruptly and looked at each other, then back at the meeting room. “Is it even possible?” I looked back at Talax hesitantly. “Well….maybe…but…why would Raddo do that?” Talax leaned back, obviously thinking hard. “Well…there’s always the possibility of the ‘Master’ taking over the world and his henchmen controlling some parts…” Suddenly, an idea struck me and a devious smile crept to my lips. “Hmm…let’s take a walk to Raddo’s room…” Sensing the idea behind it, Talax slapped my shoulder lightly. “You little sneak….”
“Lift me just a little higher….That’s it…..Ok, got it!” Talax heaved a big sigh of relief and released me. “Whew! Did you know that you’re kinda light?” I scowled and went into Raddo’s room. We had just disabled the security cameras and the lock to his room. “So says the others who have carried me…” Talax smiled slightly at my retort. “At least I didn’t say you were heavy…..Holy mother of….!”
Talax’s eyes widened and his jaw went slack, as mine did a few seconds ago. I grabbed the papers pinned onto the board. “These….are the papers that were sent around to us a few months ago! How did Raddo get them!?” Talax went over to the table and leafed through a few papers. “Hell…these were the plans the ‘Master’ showed me just a few days ago! They were meant for his best apprentice!” We both looked at each other, the truth hitting us like a thunderbolt.
“So…you’ve found out, eh?” We turned towards the door, where now stood Raddo. Anger slowly took over my confusion and my hands crackled with electrical energy. “So you’re gonna lead the ‘Freedom Fighters’ to their doom, just like that?” Raddo snickered. “Pitiful…so you still haven’t seen the errors of your ways….Resistance is futile; I learnt that a few years ago…” Raddo smirked. “Now you two should learn your lessons…” Talax brought out his daggers. “Bring it on, then…”
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you….redhead.” Talax growled. “And why wouldn’t I?” Raddo smirked again. “Because then someone will get hurt….and it won’t be me….” He stepped aside, revealing his daughter…and Rei!
I stared disbelievingly at littleHiff. “So…you work for your father?” She shrugged, as if to be uncaring, but I could see the despair in her eyes. Raddo probably forced her into this…..
I looked over at Raddo angrily. “What about Hifo? You don’t care about her anymore?” Raddo shrugged uncaringly. “She’s just a pawn in this game…” I growled angrily, this time clenching my fists tightly to control my power. Over at the side, Talax tried to keep his fury at check and walked over to me. I unclenched my fists, hoping my anger had dissipated. I stared at Raddo square in the eyes. “Let Rei go. He has nothing to do with us.”
Raddo chortled. “Oh? You’re wrong, my dear hero. The ‘Master’ wants him...I don’t know why, but as it’s his order, I will obey it.” An amused smirk managed to appear on my face. “So if he were to ask you to jump into a pit of Crimson Balrog weapon-less, you’ll do it?”
Raddo scowled. “That would be utterly ridiculous. The ‘Master’ would not think of that…” He shoved littleHiff roughly towards us. Talax scowled even more. “You shouldn’t be treating littleHiff like that!” Raddo pointed his staff at us. “Shut up! I can treat her however I like!” Damn, this guy was getting on my nerves. Seeing chains in littleHiff’s hands, I grudgingly held my hands out, as did Talax. She chained Talax before hesitantly hovering over to me. Her lips formed the word ‘Help’ before chaining my hands and returning to her father’s side.
When she turned to look at me, I nodded slightly before returning my gaze to Raddo. “What about Rei?” Raddo snickered. “I gave him a dose of Substance ZP0-1221….But since I can’t carry him…” He gave Rei, who couldn’t move, a hard push and sent him (Rei) flying towards us. I tried to stop him using my magic, but somehow they seemed to fail! Rei came crashing towards us, sending the three of us to the ground. Raddo snickered yet again. “Oh, and have I mentioned that those chains prevent you from using your skills?.....We’ll come back for you three later…”
The door closed behind him, leaving the three of us trapped in the room. Talax shouted at the closed door, “Don’t even bother!” I frowned. “He can’t hear you. The door’s at least 2 feet thick.” Talax crossed his legs in a sitting position, while I sat with Rei in my lap. “What does the ‘Master’ want with him, anyway?” I shrugged. “Right now I think we should be concerned about these chains….”
Talax grinned. “Have no fear! Talax the Lock Picker is here!” He reached for a skeleton key hidden in his boot and tried to pick the lock of the chains. Suddenly, an electrical current shot out and up his hand, making him drop the key. “Ach! There’s magic flowing through these damn chains!” Rei smiled slightly at Talax’s antics, while I let out a small chuckle.
Talax pouted when he heard my chuckle. “Wah! Kaizer finds it funny when I get hurt…*sniff*” I slapped him lightly behind his head. “Stop calling me ‘Kaizer’, and it is funny, after all….” I looked down at Rei, who looked back at me with his pitiful eyes. “What would the ‘Master’ want with you, anyway?” Talax looked at Rei. “Hmm…do you know that the ‘Master’ is a…..ahem…” I nodded, knowing what the ‘ahem’ was for. Talax nodded and continued. “Well, maybe he saw Rei and wants him as his….you know….” I growled. “He better not want him as his boy toy!”
Rei looked up at me, clearly surprised. Talax petted him on his head. “Hehe….Rei has a protective lover, no?” Rei blushed, while I glared at Talax. He shrugged. “What? Am I not stating the truth?” I growled lowly. “Shut the hell up and try to think of a way out!”
-2 hours later-
“Damn these chains!” Suddenly, the door whizzed open and Raddo stood there, in his pitiful glory-pose. He smirked on seeing us still chained up. “So…the ‘Great Hero’ isn’t so great after all…” littleHiff came into the room and half-dragged, half-pushed us out, her helpless look never once leaving my sight. Outside, I saw a dreadful sight. Slasher , b4ndiitz, HolyPhoenixX and along with the other ‘Freedom Fighters’ were chained together. As I looked around, I noticed that Hifo wasn’t there. I shot an angry look at Raddo. “Where’s Hifo?”
Raddo didn’t reply, instead, he chained us together with the rest and led us out of the building and into one of the ‘Master’s big jets. Inside, Slasher glanced over at me, then back at the others. “Well, looks like all we’ve worked for is gone…” Slash stared disbelievingly at his father. “Dad! How could you say that?” b4nSinzz nodded her head. “Yeah, Dad, you shouldn’t give up just yet…”
Slasher looked at his kids with a sad smile, then turned his attention to me. “How did he capture you?” I pointed at Rei, the same time saying, “A little blackmail goes a long way…” Slasher half-smirked, half-grinned. “You like him, don’t you?” I frowned. “Now is not the time…Where’s Hifo?”
“Gone.” I turned towards b4ndiitz, whose eyes were welling up with tears. “He was talking with her and the next thing we knew, he had…killed her.” The last two words were hard to make out, as b4ndiitz released a sob as she said them. Slasher tried to comfort her. “Ssh…Hifo never did deserve him....at least now she is in a good place…”
I cursed under my breath. “That Raddo is….inhumane!” I found myself shaking uncontrollably, electrical energy moving throughout my body. Talax made a grab for Rei as my eyes glowed red and the next thing I knew, I had broken out of my chains and electrical energy was crackling in the atmosphere.
Slasher whistled. “Woah….” I smirked and using my magic, broke the others free of the chains. Holy brought out her staff. “When I get to that miserable midget, I’m gonna…” I cut her off immediately. “Forget it. The only one that is going to face him is me.” Hearing the coldness in my tone, no one dared to protest. I stepped towards the metal door, only to be stopped by Talax and Slasher.
I growled. “You heard what I said: I won’t let anyone…” Talax grinned. “Other than you get to Raddo….Yeah, yeah, we get it. We,” He gestured back and forth between him and Slasher. “Just want to wish you…” They held out their hands. “Good luck.” Smiling slightly, I shook their hands and they let me through silently.
‘Well…this is it…’ Forcing the door open with my magic, I stepped through to see a delightful sight: Raddo’s back facing me. Raddo must have felt my presence as he suddenly let go of the wheel of the plane, grabbed his staff and issued a curse attack. Luckily, I dodged it, ran up to him and punched him right in the jaw. (Just ‘cause I’m a mage doesn’t mean that I’m poor in my physical features) I pointed at him and said, “That was for Hifo…This,” I ran up to him again and launched a series of punches and kicks. “Was for the rest of us that you fooled!”
Raddo unexpectedly blocked all of them. I leapt back, alarmed. He snickered. “I was trained under the ‘Master’, if you have forgotten.” He dropped his staff to the ground and went into a battle-pose. “Let’s fight hand with hand, shall we?” I growled and ran towards him. Suddenly, he disappeared!
I looked all around the cockpit, but Raddo was nowhere to be seen! Suddenly, there was an impact on my shoulder and I was sent flying to the ground. Before I even managed to get up, Raddo grabbed me by my shirt and held me high up in the air. “What makes you think that you can defeat me? You are only a mere, pitiful slave under the ‘Master’, whereas I am his best apprentice!” I half-choked, half-spitted out my response, “You forget who you’re fighting.”
I blasted him with my electrical energy, sending him flying to the other side of the cockpit. Something inside me began to stir….a part that had been dormant since I got captured by the ‘Master’….Slowly, that part overcame me, and I was no longer Cerveau, but him…
Narrative P.O.V
Talax’s eyes widened as he watched Cerveau battle Raddo. “Oh, shit…” Slasher looked at him questioningly. “What? Is something wrong?” Talax nodded. “Cerveau’s becoming his heroic self, or rather known as Kaizer.” He looked back at the other onlookers. “People, you are going to witness the true hero in battle.”
Kaizer walked towards Raddo, his emotions hidden by a cold, emotionless face. Raddo stood up and charged at him. He (Kaizer) seemed unready, but at the last moment, he grabbed Raddo’s fist in mid-air! Raddo raised his other fist; ready to punch Kaizer, but again he caught it. Kaizer twisted the two hands in a way that the arms couldn’t go. Raddo gasped in pain as the oncoming force got stronger. Suddenly, Kaizer lifted him up and threw him against the wall of the cockpit.
Slasher gasped as he watched Kaizer fight Raddo. “Where did he learn all those moves?” Talax smirked. “During his travels….the ‘Master’ tried to make Cerveau forget about that other him, but I guess it kinda switched back on just now.” Slasher looked on with curious wonder. “Oh…”
Kaizer grabbed Raddo by his hair, slowly pulling him up to eye level. He smirked when he saw the pain on Raddo’s face. He blasted a hole in the cockpit and placed Raddo in front of the hole. “I relieve you from your misery and pain soon….”
“Cerveau, stop!” Kaizer turned around at the familiar name to see littleHiff approaching him. “Let my father go. I will chain him up and he will do no more harm!” Reluctantly, Kaizer dropped Raddo to the ground and closed up the hole using his unmatchable magic. Suddenly, Raddo teleported behind his daughter and held his staff at her throat. “No one move, or she’s as good as dead!”
Kaizer stared at Raddo unfazed, while Slasher cried out, “She’s your daughter! How could you do that!?” Raddo cast a maniacal look at him. “Sacrifices must be made!” Talax shouted out, “Kaizer, he’s gone over the edge!” Kaizer looked over at Talax and asked a question that nobody thought he’d ask at that futile moment: “Where’s Rei?”
Talax looked unbelievingly at his friend. “Err…he’s here…” He held Rei up in his hands. He could have sworn he saw a smile on Kaizer’s face, but it vanished quickly. Kaizer turned his attention to Raddo, his stare hardened. Suddenly, Raddo felt himself being lifted up from the ground and up into the air. He also found it difficult to breathe. He began choking as the need for air began to descent on him. (This is something like Star Wars, where they use the Force to strangle you, but in this case, Kaizer’s using magic to strangle Raddo.)
In fifteen seconds flat, Raddo was dead. littleHiff ran over to Kaizer and hugged him tightly. Tears began to flow down her face, while Kaizer only stood there, silently comforting her. Slasher came up hesitantly, and lifted littleHiff into his arms. He looked at Kaizer, whose gaze stayed on littleHiff. “Will she be alright?” Slasher patted littleHiff’s back as he tried to comfort her. “Yeah….. It’s just that losing both parents was a big blow to her.” Kaizer nodded mutely.
“….Are you still the Cerveau that we know?” Kaizer looked over b4ndiitz. “Not wholly. A part of him is still in me, though.” b4ndiitz nodded her head as she looked at littleHiff. “Thanks Cerveau, for everything you did…Hifo would be proud of you if she was here right now…” Kaizer smiled slightly. ‘You’re wrong, b4ndiitz…she will always be here….so long as you believe….’
Kaizer looked around. People were celebrating and they were heading back to the ‘Freedom Fighters’ base. He caught sight of Talax, who was sitting down with Rei in his lap. He walked up to him and sat down. Talax looked at him uncertainly. “So…are you Kaizer or Cerveau?” Kaizer smirked. “Both…” He looked at Rei, who was beaming happily back at him. “He’s happy, isn’t he?” Talax stroked Rei’s hair softly. “You could say that…” He handed Rei out to Kaizer. “But I think he’d be much happier with you.”
Kaizer took Rei into his arms without hesitation. He stroked Rei’s hair slowly, almost swearing that the teen was purring. Suddenly, a devious thought came into Kaizer’s mind. ‘Hmm…’ He moved his hand to tip Rei’s chin up. Then, he leant in and planted a brief kiss on Rei’s lips.
Talax watched with amazement as his fellow friend kiss Rei. “Wow…Kaizer finally learnt how to express himself!” Kaizer smirked as Rei turned a deep shade of red. “Shut up, Talax.” Talax held up both his hands in protest. “What? You should be lucky he can’t move…..and when did you get so scheming?” Kaizer leant back against the wall and smoothly replied, “I’m not Cerveau….I’m his other half….And I won’t be disappearing anytime soon.”
Talax raised an eyebrow. “So you’re mostly Kaizer the ‘Hero’?” Kaizer shrugged as he shifted Rei in a way that his back was facing him. “You could say that…” Slasher came up to them, and upon seeing how Kaizer was treating Rei, smirked. “I always knew you had an affection for him…” Kaizer smirked as Slasher sat down to join them. “So where are we heading?”
“Back to base. The New Year’s coming, don’t you know that?” Talax shook his head, while Kaizer simply rolled his eyes. “So we’re going to celebrate New Year before attacking the ‘Master’?” Slasher nodded his head. “Yes. As it is our tradition, we shall stick to it…Besides,” He added, with a mischievous glint in his eyes, “Another tradition of ours is at the first stroke of the New Year, we get to kiss the person next to you.”
Kaizer and Talax’s eyes fell on Rei, who was looking unbelievingly at Slasher. Talax smirked as Kaizer winked deviously at him. Rei looked back and forth at Kaizer and Talax. Slasher smiled slightly at the possible thoughts the duo were thinking. “Well, I won’t trouble you guys further…See you back at base!” Kaizer nodded as a reply, while Talax waved at Slasher’s retreating self. They turned to look back at each other. “I can’t wait for New Year’s Eve….”

-New Year’s Eve-
Kaizer’s P.O.V
A few days has past since I defeated Raddo and taken over my body. Talax and I walked down the corridor, acknowledging everyone as they walked past us and admiring the New Year decorations. We turned at a bend and walked towards the grand hall for breakfast with the elders.
At the grand hall, Slasher and b4ndiitz were waiting patiently for us. Today was special, being New Year’s Eve and all, so we were having a spread of multi-racial food on the table. We nodded as the youngsters littleHiff, Slash, b4nSinzz and Rei said ‘Good Morning’, my gaze lingering on Rei for abit too long. Talax tapped my shoulder and pointed at Slasher and b4ndiitz. I nodded hurriedly and went over to join them.
At the table, we ate and listened as Slasher discussed about how we were going to attack the ‘Master’. I listened and nodded, quietly wishing for the discussion to be over. Slasher finally ended with, “Well, do you guys have any suggestions to my plan?”
I nodded. “Yeah. Instead of an all-out defense attack, we should have some offence. A good offence is the best defense, after all….” b4ndiitz nodded. “He’s right, Slasher….but let us talk about it tomorrow. Today we should celebrate! The New Year’s coming!” Talax nodded enthusiastically. “Yeah!” Slasher and I smiled slightly at the two chief bandits’ enthusiasm.
As we (Talax and I) walked towards our room, we were thinking about what Slasher had told us on the plane. Talax turned to me. “Are you really going to kiss him? I mean, what if everyone sees? Won’t they be disgusted?” I sighed dejectedly. “I don’t know….In the first place; I think it’s utterly ridiculous.” Talax raised an eye brow. “No you don’t. You know as much as I know that you want to kiss him.”
“Kiss who?” We turned around abruptly to see Rei standing behind us. “Who does Kaizer want to kiss?” Suddenly, it hit me: Substance ZP0-1221 must had made him forget what had happened to him while he was under its influence. Talax must have guessed the same thing, as he was desperately trying to think of a way to lie out.
“Erm….Kaizer wants to kiss…..” Suddenly, he pointed towards the window. “Hey! There goes a Mapler being attacked by some thugs! Kaizer and I will handle them!” With that, he dragged me towards the rooftops with Rei shouting, “But there’s no one there!”
-At the rooftops-
“Whew! That was close!” I looked at Talax. “Yeah…thanks buddy….Looks like he doesn’t remember what happened to him.” Talax nodded. “Slasher most probably left out the part of when you kissed him when he was telling Rei what had happened.” I smiled slightly. “That old sneak….”
“I am getting insulted for trying to help? So much for gratitude…” We turned around to see Slasher standing at the doorway snickering. “Help?” Slasher nodded his head. “Yeah….I’m okay with your sexual preference….I’m not like other people…” Talax nodded his head slowly, not trusting much of what he said. “Oh and, Kaizer, go for it.”
I stared at him, dumbfounded. “Wha?” He chuckled. “I mean….tonight…go for it…He likes you…it’s very clear to all of us in the base.” I raised an eyebrow. “Oh….really….” Talax slapped my shoulder lightly. “You go, dog!” I smiled lightly at his antics and nodded at Slasher as he signaled that he’d be leaving. ‘Well….if he really likes me…then maybe it won’t be so hard after all….’
-At Night, at the New Year’s Eve Party-
Narrative P.O.V
“Come on, Rei! The guy clearly likes you! Stop fumbling around with your outfit!” Rei shot a glance at Slash. “Thanks for the encouragement….Not!” b4nSinzz sighed and pulled Rei’s hand away from his shirt. “Rei…It’s clear enough that he likes you….We’ve already accepted the fact that you like him, so why don’t you accept that too?”
littleHiff look at her friends with amusement. They were currently heading towards the grand hall for the party, and Rei couldn’t stop fumbling with his outfit. “Be lucky that b4nSinzz didn’t want you to cross-dress.” Rei looked at littleHiff unbelievingly, then back at b4nSinzz. “You wouldn’t do that….would you?” Slash rolled his eyes. “Please people! We are already late! So let’s hurry up and get to the party!”
In the grand hall, everyone was having fun. There were places specially allocated for different activities. Slash dragged Rei towards the gaming area, while b4nSinzz went to the buffet with littleHiff. The elders (Slasher, b4ndiitz, Talax and Kaizer) watched the party with amusement and happiness. Slasher turned towards Kaizer. “If you have a part of Cerveau, do you have his singing talent?” Kaizer looked amusedly at him. “Dunno….why?” An evil grin appeared on Slasher’s face. “Then I challenge you to another singing contest!”
Down at the karaoke corner, Kaizer reluctantly accepted the challenge and closed his ears as Slasher began to sing. Everyone did, including Talax, who decided that Slasher’s singing was probably quite horrible. Even through his closed ears, Kaizer could still hear Slasher’s singing. ‘Oh God….please stop….’ Finally, after a painful three minutes, the song finally ended. Before Kaizer even picked up the microphone, Slasher stopped him.
“Well, if you think you’re better then me, why don’t you try something harder?” Kaizer smirked. “Oh? Like what?” Slasher pretended to think hard. “Hmm….Maybe something like a Chinese song would do…” Surprised gasps and murmurs arose and were quickly silenced to hear what Kaizer would say. Kaizer sighed, but a glint could be seen in his eyes. “Alright….you win…let’s see…what to choose…” Slasher rolled his eyes and pressed one button. “There…I’ve chosen for you, now…Ladies and Gentlemen, please settle down to listen to the Great Hero sing!......In Chinese!”
Kaizer’s P.O.V
I know this song! I heard it in one of my travels! Slasher was kind of wrong to think that I couldn’t sing Chinese songs…..well he was wrong……Strangely, why would he choose such a sad song? Slowly, the lyrics appeared on the screen. Bah….I don’t need them….

Woah….Never thought I’d amaze them so much….some people had fainted while I was singing and Slasher was gawking. Only Talax wasn’t surprised. He was clapping. “Woot! Well done, Kaizer!” I smiled slightly. He knew that I knew how to speak Chinese, but he himself didn’t understand it himself. Some people were crying too, mostly girls. I wonder if they understood what I was singing or if they are crying because of how sad the tone is…
Suddenly, the crowd burst into a wild applause. There were whistles and yelling and blushing slightly, I bowed and stepped through the crowd. Everyone dispersed, but I could hear that they were talking about me. Talax came up behind me and slapped me lightly on the back. “You did well! I didn’t know you had an affinity for singing.” I smiled slightly before walking towards a wall and leaning against it. Talax followed my actions and we both closed our eyes, resting in the bustle of the party.
“Erm…hey guys.” My eyes flew open and I prepared to glare at the person who had disturbed us, that is, until I found out that it was Rei. “Oh….Hi Rei…” Talax looked at Rei up and down, a smirk slowly forming on his face. “Nice outfit……but I think I’d like you without it.” A blush immediately appeared on Rei’s face. “E-excuse me?” I chuckled softly and nudged Talax, whispering in his ear, “You do know that he gets what you mean, right?” Talax nodded his head slightly, implying that he did know.
Talax smiled a-little-too-sweetly at Rei. “Well, I guess I should leave you two alone now…” He leant forward and kissed Rei’s cheek. “Cheerio!” I watched as he literally skipped away and muttered, “And I am his friend….” Rei smiled slightly. “Cheer up! We’re now his friends too, anyway…” I looked at him. “Oh? I think he has other plans for you…..If you get what I mean…” A heavier blush appeared on his face as he guessed Talax’s intentions. “Oh…” He looked up at me. “Erm….Kaizer…remember when I told you that I was gay and you told me those few words? What do they mean?”
I silently sniggered. So….he hasn’t forgotten what I said yet. Suddenly, shouts of ‘10’, ‘9’, ‘8’ and so forth came. They were counting down to the New Year. Soon, the seconds ‘3’, ‘2’ and ‘1’ came and soon, everyone was shouting “Happy New Year!” I looked all around. People were hugging each other, some even kissing. Talax was even hugging littleHiff! I looked back at Rei, who was also looking around. I smirked. ‘Well, better not break the tradition…’
I pulled Rei towards me, his body pressed against mine. His face immediately flushed. “K-kaizer, what are you doing?” I smirked yet again and leant in. “I’m not breaking the tradition…” I placed a soft kiss on his lips and pulled back slowly to watch his expression. Indeed, he seemed surprised, but it died away as he looked at me. “Does this mean that…..?” I smiled softly and placed another kiss on his forehead. “私は愛する Rei....I love you….”
Suddenly, a flash went off and I pulled back to see who was the person who did it. Talax was there, along with Slasher and b4ndiitz. “Aww….it’s a Kodak moment!” Slasher raised the camera in his hand. I growled. “You little….! Get back here!” I let go of Rei and went chasing after Slasher who, after 5 minutes I lost track of.
As I leant against the wall to catch my breath, Rei came to my side along with Talax. “Baka Kaizer….you left your lover alone!” Rei blushed as Talax said that sentence and walked towards me. “So….that was what it meant?” I nodded my head. He pouted cutely. “Baka Kaizer….why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I looked at him, amused. “I said ‘in time you’ll find out’. I couldn’t tell you, couldn’t I?”
Rei smiled and kissed me lightly on the cheek. “Yes…” I smirked and wrapped my arms around him. “Well then….You’ve already learned what it means, so why push further?” I nibbled his ear gently and listened in happiness as he let out a soft moan.
Narrative P.O.V
Talax rolled his eyes at the two lovers’ antics. “Get a room, you two….” Slasher came up and stood next to Talax. “Well….I guess things worked out in the end, huh?” Talax nodded his head. “Well then…tell them to get to bed early…and no funny business, ok?” Talax chortled at the straight-forwardness in Slasher’s words. “Aye, aye, New Leader.”
